An adventurous spoof with secret agents, aliens, bumbling officials, and bubbles!!!!!
The projected release date for Bubble Trubble is August 2008
Currently in post production, Bubble Trubble was shot in the Pioneer Valley of western Massachusetts in summer 2007.
New York based director/producer Sonia Arrubla cast the film with local kids, ages 7 to 15.
Alien child Lucas, disappointed because his parents have forgotten his birthday, runs away to Earth,
landing in an abandoned amusement park on the outskirts of Trenton, New Jersey. Using a trick he
learned on his distant planet, he unleashes an invasion of magical bubbles, which have a curious effect
on adults: they become happy, playful kids—and perfect birthday party guests.
In the nation's capitol, and wherever else the mysterious, colorful bubbles land, a pandemic of happiness
ensues: Congress takes a recess for apple juice; the Supreme Court's "girls" and "boys" play patty-cake;
Wall Street is paralyzed by a blizzard of dollar bills and formerly staid businesspeople toss wadded-up
balls of money at each other. Human happiness becomes pandemic and Lucas gets to invite playful earthlings
to his birthday party. Meanwhile, his distraught parents, Aliena and Allen Alien, barrel through space
in a newfangled ship in search of their birthday boy.
Hiding out in a top-secret bunker, Madame President turns to her trusted advisors to figure out what the
heck is going on, who's behind it, and how to stop it. Despite the lack of military intelligence—no enemy
can be identified—General Nonsense and Admiral Attaboy propose an immediate and massive counterattack.
They summon super-secret agents Snizzle and Snazzle and kidnap an informant, and the hilarious race to
save the world from bubble trouble begins.
